Dedication is the key to success in any job

I learned resilience and hard work from my parents. They are both their own boss, and run their businesses with dedication and perseverance

First job experiences

To have financial independence from my family I decided to work during the summers in between my college years. I started as a doorman in Rome at Via Tiberio, and Via di Porta San Pancrazio, where I worked for the majority of the summer.

When COVID first hit in 2020 I was forced to leave College early and go home. That summer (2020) I decided to work at a restaurant/bar located in a famous vacation locality in Italy. Working at Oversea restaurant thought me to work 10-12 hours shifts, in a fast-paced environment. It though me to promptly react to unexpected situations, engage, satisfy and provide the best experience to customers, memorize food and drink menus, and learn the basics of managing a restaurant.

USA

First "office" jobs

Office of Development & Alumni Relations

My first job in the US was at Spring Hill College. I had to reach Spring Hill College Alumni to share updates regarding the college (athletics, academics, events, holidays), and solicitate donations in support of the different programs and organizations on campus, including academic and athletic scholarships. I personally outperformed fundraising goals raising over than $3500 despite COVID

Christmas thank you video to contributors for their donations. International team members spoke in their original language. This video is in Italian.

Marketing Analyst

After my senior year I obtained the OPT (Optional Practical Training) Visa. It is given to graduate students who are eager to work in the US after college. I obtained a position as Marketing Analyst at Data Delay Devices, a software company located in New Jersey. There I cataloged, analyzed, and interpreted data from 2009 to 2021. Facilitated communications with Google Analysts, and created opportunities for growth by directly communicating with IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)
